Curtner Elementary PTA is excited to announce the start of the Odyssey of the Mind (OM) season for students in kindergarten through 6th grade.
OM teaches students to be creative problem-solvers. Each year, Odyssey HQ releases new problems that connect to real-world challenges and imaginative themes. Students learn STEAM fundamentals, teamwork, and how to build innovative solutions from recycled materials. Teams also solve spontaneous problems under a time limit.

Last year, Curtner Elementary had a great turnout with more teams than in previous years. We've even sent teams to the World Finals for the past two years. Additionally, three teams participated in the non-competitive K-2 division to give younger students early exposure to the program.

Regional Competition: Feb 7th, Saturday Brentwood.
State Tournament: Mar 7th, Concord
Curtner has 6 teams( approx 40 kids) participating this year.
3 out of 4 teams won in regionals and moved to the State tournament. P2 D1 won the 3rd place in the State tournament.
